Early Smart Home Security Website

Built an early overseas website for a global smart home security brand—information architecture and visual design, with product detail pages centered on performance and core features.

Early Smart Home Security Website

Background

IMOU serves global markets with smart cameras, smart locks, video doorbells, and related home security products. In the early overseas stage, it needed a unified, scalable website to gather scattered product information into a clear brand and shopping entry.

Features and technical specs are specialized. Spec sheets alone make it hard for users to grasp which scenarios fit and why to choose a product. The early site had to establish brand tone and turn complex capabilities into decision-ready content.

Approach

Overseas website build

Helped build the early website on Vue.js, with an extensible product and content structure covering brand home, product center, service & support, and about pages.

Pages follow how users learn a product: who the brand is, which categories exist, what a single product solves, and how to learn more or buy—without opening on a wall of specs.

Information architecture & visual design

Information architecture is layered by category and use scenario (indoor/outdoor monitoring, smart locks, doorbells, and more) so users find a category first, then a product.

Visual design unifies brand identity and product character: clean, lightly tech-forward, emphasizing home security rather than a manual-style layout.

Product detail page visuals

Detail pages use a scene → key benefits → feature demo → specs hierarchy: where it is used and what it solves first, then features and specifications.

Key products use visual modules to reinforce performance and differentiators (such as panoramic monitoring and unlock methods), lowering comprehension cost and supporting later marketing and channel reuse.

Outcome

Scattered product descriptions became a usable early brand and product window, with detail pages that communicate product value more clearly.
